Exploring the Rich Culture of the Amhara People in Ethiopia

Eskista is a traditional Amhara dance from Ethiopia. It is a dance known for its intricate and rhythmic movements of the shoulders, neck and upper body. Although all Amharas dance eskista there are regional variations in its style in each and within the four regions of Amhara. The style in this video is one of the Wollo/Bete Amhara style of eskista.
