In the first episode of Alec Baldwin’s new reality series, “The Baldwins,” — which premiered on TLC Sunday night — Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria, waste almost no time before addressing controversy revolving around their family.

The series begins just before he was scheduled to stand trial in the fatal shooting on the set of “Rust.” The reviews have been somewhat uneasy.

According to the show’s official synopsis, “The Balwins” is “an intimate, behind-the-scenes look into the lives of Alec and Hilaria Baldwin and their seven children. This series blends the highs and lows of family life, with the challenges and humor that come while raising a large family in the public eye.”
