New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said there is no new update on Giancarlo Stanton as he is away from the team.

Stanton said he dealt with the condition, which is in both elbows, most of last season — including in October, when he was by far the Yankees’ best offensive performer as they reached the World Series. He said he has not swung a bat in the last “three to four weeks.” It is not clear when he will begin doing so.

The New York Yankees are dealing with a few potentially big problems: They need help at third base; they're concerned about Giancarlo Stanton's elbow injury; and they have a disgruntled starting pitcher in Marcus Stroman.
