Chanced upon this part of the forest park and it was a nice distraction on a wet day. The red deer were all near the hut that is provided to sit in. There was a lot more than I thought we'd see.Full review by one9eighty

Saw a couple of dogs in the area when we were there. Unless it has opened up a great deal more then as long as your dog is on a lead, you should be okay going up to the fence to view the deer. If you decide to feed the deer then you would probably need to do it one at a time, as the dog would need to be kept back from the fence.

I would doubt it. However, from the parking area you do get a view of the deer park so it is possible you may see some of the deer. The gates are normally open just after Easter to late October (if memory serves). However, note please: it took the team over a week to reply to my email, so if you have a contact number I would suggest you try it. Hope all this helps. The Park is on a really nice country road with places to see and walks
Q:
How much is it to get in?
A:
Free to get in, the carpark for the red deer bit is also free but if you visit the visitor centre a bit further along then you pay about £3 for all day parking!
