Oregon State Police on Tuesday said it had confirmed Marion Vinetta Nagle McWhorter’s identity through genetic genealogy. McWhorter’s disappearance was among several unsolved cases that detectives looked into as they investigated state highway mechanic John Ackroyd for attacks on women along U.S. 20 in the late 1970s through the early 1990s.
