Is it a tornado or is it scud? We received this video from viewer Jim Lolley in Naples this afternoon. You can see what looks like a brief 'touchdown' along the trees and it quickly lifts back up. Despite how it looks, it's a great example of scud. Scud clouds are low, ragged clouds that form under storm clouds. Pretty common with cold fronts! They move quickly with the wind but do not rotate, though they can appear to as they rise up. Funnel clouds and tornadoes are more solid in shape and spin
