Dabi (荼 だ 毘 び Dabi?), real name Toya Todoroki (轟 とどろき 燈 とう 矢 や Todoroki Tōya?), is one of the main antagonists in the My Hero Academia manga and anime series. He was the eldest son of the Pro Hero Endeavor, driven insane due to his neglectful and selfish actions, and becoming a villain to enact revenge.

What I think Dabi's backstory is that his quirk was a superior version of Endeavor's but it wasn't the half and half quirk that compensated for his own weakness so he didn't care for Toya. Toya still might have been pushed to become a hero, so he joined UA.

Touya Todoroki is an aspiring hero student. With the help of his father, Enji, he's gotten support items that regulate his quirk and allow him to use it without drastic consequences. The moment he stepped onto the sports festival podium, his signature smile and way of fighting gained many fans.
