It mounts directly to the Really Right Stuff Anvil 30 or and dovetail clamp. The image below shows my Swaro 15x56 mounted to a Gray Ops gamer plate.

Feb 22, 2013 · The 24L seems like a great compromise between length, weight, and stiffness. The BH-55 ballhead is 2#, and the 34L is another 3/4 pound heavier than the 24L. Like I mentioned above, I don't hunt, and in my past 4 matches there has been 1 stage shot off a tripod, and a tac-table + GC was definitely the way to go.

It supports way more weight locked solid than listed but the dampening and sping assist are set to work best within it's load range. Personally, I don't use that feature even when I have two really heavy optics to top like the SWARO ATX and Swaro 15x-56 .

Fatboy tripod opinions (vs RRS?) - Sniper's Hide

I was looking into getting a RRS (really right stuff) tripod for mostly long range range shooting with my MPA 338L, but maybe some hunting as well, and came across Fatboy (Fatboy traverse 3-section) for about half the cost. Seems to have fairly good reviews (though the 1-yr warranty vs. RRS’s 5-yr turned me off a bit).
