Aug 21, 2010 · In busy passages, instrument separation suffers, and the music becomes blurred/muddy. That's my biggest complaint about the 7506, but--again--that's not out-of-line for a sub-$100 headphone. For an inexpensive headphone that's been around for so many years, the V6/7506 is a bargain.

The headband is wrapped in pleather, with minimal padding. Length-adjustable metal strips attach the earpieces to the headband. The driver housings are of some kind of black metal.

Apr 23, 2012 · 2. The Cup size in MDR-V6 is not much so you have to be very careful with the tools ( Drilling, filing soldering etc.) 3. You cannot use a thick 3.5 Male/Female Jack because of the cup size and try to get the slimmest ones possible. If you are buying new headphones and planning to mod them, I would advice against it.

Sep 1, 2010 · MDR-V6 headphones have a fairly easy to identify sound signature and these definitely don’t have it. In addition to the lack of treble, the bass was also muddy with each beat not being particularly defined. Pretty much the kind of sound you would expect out of a ~$20 pair of headphones purchased at K-Mart.
