Founded in 1991 and published by the Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy (IAAT), Rheedea is an international peer-reviewed journal with four online and two print issues per year. Oct 22, 2012 · Yes that is correct. Rheedias are from S. America, Garcinias from Asia. Recently these two genus were lumped together into just Garcinia. That is why some of the species names were changed, for example Rheedia edulis became Garcinia intermedia. it could not stay edulis because there already existed a Garcinia edulis.
