The Alexander Palace (Russian: Александровский дворец, Alexandrovskiy dvorets, IPA: [ɐlʲɪkˈsandrəfskʲɪj dvɐˈrʲets]) is a former imperial residence near the town of Tsarskoye Selo in Russia, on a plateau about 30 miles (48 km) south of Saint Petersburg. The Winter Palace[1] is a palace in Saint Petersburg that served as the official residence of the House of Romanov, previous emperors, from 1732 to 1917. The palace and its precincts now house the Hermitage Museum.

The Romanov Palace, located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, was built in 1891 according to the design of architect V.S Geintselman and A.L. Benois for Grand Duke Nikolai Konstantinovich, who had been exiled to the outskirts of the empire in the Turkestan region.
