May 6, 2022 · PMC M193 seems milder than American M193. Some Eastern European M193 can actually be hotter than American M193. Most all 62 grain green tip ammo is made close to NATO specs, even from non-NATO countries.

Dec 15, 2008 · The lot of PMC Bronze had the same POI as the S&B which indicates to me that the velocity is in the same ball park and BOTH shot much higher and with considerably more "Ooomph" than the Monarch. I personally think that the PMC is VERY good .223 ammo. It is BALL ammo and must be compared to other ball type ammo.

Jun 25, 2009 · I have PMC Bronze and XM193. I will probably be shooting more of the PMC simply because it's cheaper. Obviously PMC is slow, XM193 is fast. Will the difference in impact point be different enough at 100 yards that it matters which one I zero with (like an inch difference or more)? 16" barrel, if that matters.

Nov 12, 2024 · Even the stuff that has "XM193" and "5.56X45" may be watered down from original M193 specs but will be faster than the 223 marked stuff. Ignore the velocity printed on the box. The velocity on the 223 package is tested in a longer barrel.

Mar 24, 2021 · I've shot all different brands of "bulk XM193" over the years and some are wildly inconsistent within the same brand/type(I'm looking at you Winchester 5.56 "Target") Regular old Federal 5.56 seems to do the best and gives me a tick under 2moa @ 100 yards out of a 16" barrel but what I like about it is it's consistency.
