May 8, 2021 · Luffy remembers the name of his major enemies too. Some of them he gives nicknames to, like he called Moria a Leek and Doflamingo "Mingo" but he calls Akainu by his Marine code name and calls Blackbeard Blackbeard, Big Mom is Big Mom, and Kaido is Kaido.

Oct 4, 2022 · THE RECIPE:- So "LUFFY" name ends with Letter "Y" And it has one letter twice the letter "F". So i don't if you noticed or not but recently "luffy" is using this method to to create the nicknames" Doubling one letter and add "Y" at end" EXP:- jaggy, traffy, boggy. we just only saw three nickname or maybe will see more like these too in future.

Sep 12, 2021 · Luffy sucks at remembering or pronouncing complex names so he often just gives people nicknames. Like he calls Law "Traffy" I personally like Luffy's name for Doflamingo. He just screams "MINGOOOO!!!!"

Jun 1, 2020 · The first one is a nickname based on his appearance as a skeleton, while the second one is meant to reference his identity more. When he refers to Luffy as Mugiwara-ya he's referring to Luffy in a way that acknowledges his role as Mugiwara no Luffy in the public consciousness, if that makes sense.

Unless you're now also claiming Luffy didn't hear that or was stupid enough to not get that the transforming reindeer's name was Chopper, he knew his name when he wanted to make him his crewmate, during the second part of his fight with Wapol, when he had already recruited him, and left Drum.

Jul 4, 2023 · But VIZ decided to translate "Yama-o" (Yamato's nickname) as simply "Yamao" instead of "Yama-guy" or "Yammy" because there is a joke about Yamato thinking Luffy just simply misheard the name as "Yamao".
