Jul 9, 2022 · Access Integrated IR Camera. Hello, My computer (Dell Inspiron) comes with an integrated IR camera. It works with Windows Hello perfectly fine, however I want to access the depth output for the IR sensor. Unfortunately, I've been looking around and cannot find an easy way to access the IR sensor. How would I go about doing this?

Aug 20, 2021 · Windows 10 Hello Facial Recognition is more secure than most of the facial recognition technologies used on devices these days and it requires a webcam with Infrared capability. If your laptop does not have an IR webcam, you cannot use Facial Recognition, there is no way around the IR requirement, there is not even a registry hack for this.

Jul 25, 2018 · Reinstall Windows Hello drivers. Go to Search, type device manager, and open Device Manager. Find your Windows Hello driver, right-click on it, and select Remove driver software…. Restart your computer. On the next startup, Windows 10 should automatically detect Windows Hello, and install the latest driver for it.

Open category Biometric devices. look for the camera or whatever device that does the hello. and right click on it to get to the "Power Management". Then uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”.
