Jan 29, 2025 · Then you know for sure what you are dealing with and have ruled out things like a tear. It is rare but I had a friend who ended up having a horse with a severe tear (among other issues) in the stifle and she ended up putting the horse down as a result. Had she not done the ultrasound, she would have continued to "treat" without gaining results.
