To tighten the guys, I use a preform about 6' up each guy wire and a come along attached to the preform (lever end of come-along). The cable end of the come-along hooks at a convenient place on the anchor or equalizer plate. Make sure the tower is vertical to the first set of guys via 4' level (what I use) or plumb bob (never tried this).

Feb 12, 2025 · I hired Sullaway Systems for a complex antenna installation: two stacked c31XR JKs and one JK 404C on a single 90' Rohn 45 tower. After building the tower with a star guy bracket at 80', Marty and his helper Quincy set up a tram and got all 400 lbs of antenna in place without a hitch. Marty knows what he's doing, and his prices are very fair.
