The Folland Gnat is a British compact swept-wing subsonic fighter aircraft that was developed and produced by Folland Aircraft.

The Folland Aircraft Company's Gnat fighter, designed by W.E.W. (Teddy) Petter, was a private venture development of the Folland Midge and the prototype (G-39-2) first flew in 1955.

Perhaps the most widely known of the RAF's jet trainers as a result of its outstanding performances in the hands of the pilots of the Red Arrows aerobatic team, the diminutive Folland Fo.141 Gnat was designed originally as a light fighter, as recounted in the entry for the Midge.
