The computational side of an E6-B consists of a fixed outer scale of numbers (outer scale) that surrounds a rotating disk with an equivalent scale of numbers (inner scale) along its edge. The numbers on the outer and inner scales represent values 10 through 90 but can also be scaled up or down in multiples of 10 to represent all possible numbers.
