Bao (Chinese: 包; Japanese: パオ) is a character in The King of Fighters series. He first appeared in The King of Fighters '99 as a new member of the Psycho Soldier Team. Like Athena Asamiya and Sie Kensou, Bao has psychic powers and is a student of Chin Gentsai, although there is more to him than meets the eye.

Bao is a Zoning Character. He can use a bunch of fireballs in his moveset, and he has the matching fireball for any situation, making him a very formidable opponent & character to play. He's by far stronger than Athena, since his fireball attacks are much faster & stronger than hers.

Bao was an active member of the Psycho Soldier Team through The King of Fighters '99 and The King of Fighters 2001. He was created by developers to fill in the missing gap for the team caused by the newer gaming mechanics introduced in The King of Fighters '99.
