Oct 6, 2016 · DeKALB – Ariel Ries is breaking down gender boundaries and stereotypes by encouraging females of all ages to learn how to skateboard. Ries first started skateboarding with her best friend when she was in eighth grade. Now 32, she skates every day and continues to learn new tricks.

In collaboration with Drum, the exhibition was juried by local artist April Startzel and Fargo Venue owner Ariel Ries. The opening reception on Friday, October 13, from 6 to 9 pm, at Fargo Venue, 641 Lincoln Highway in DeKalb, IL, is a tantalizing invitation to enter this spectral realm in style.
