Jun 5, 2016 · I bought an Alden star at a yard sale on the Cape this past summer and rowed it mostly in Bass River. My experience is much like yours, including breaking a backstay on the second row. After calling Alden, adirondak and considering making one, I had a new stronger end tab welded on by All Cape Welding.
