Oct 9, 2022 · My 1st store manager was like this, I always answered the call when nobody showed up because I knew she would work a double when she works 6-7 days a week and works the freight daily, cleans the store daily and honestly ALWAYS had her employees back even against corporate and she always kept the crew solid because we all were like family

Feb 22, 2023 · You've described it perfectly. I'm an ASM who ran a store for 5 months during the pandemic. You did forget the stalking by remote camera by the DM, constant register crashes, and endless conference calls while you have actual floor work to accomplish.

Jun 5, 2023 · Honestly, Dollar General was (and still it) my first job, and it's an okay choice. Since it's your first job, you'll probably start off as just a cashier and probably only have to work the register and unpack totes.

Jan 6, 2022 · For years (even pre-pandemic) I've noticed a pattern that Dollar General stores seem understaffed. Frequently there are boxes of stock blocking aisles, and generally one cashier at the front helping the long slow line of customers.

How do you ask to travel for them? I was hired a month ago and moved from sales associate, to key holder last week, and today was offered full time lead/ key holder. I'm not sure all the short terms yet lol. I am married for 27 years with no kids at home. I'd love to travel for Dollar General and learn to do whatever needed to do.
