Oct 2, 2020 · Ricky Starks might be my favorite singles wrestler in AEW, and unquestionably he is in my top 5. His promo ability is unreal, especially since this is only his second month on national television. His promos sound like he believes every word he says, and he makes the audience believe it as well, which is really hard to do.

May 15, 2024 · The only way WWE would be an upgrade is if Ricky's only real aspiration is to say he appeared at Wrestlemania, even if he didn't get anything more than a supporting role out of it. But there are going to be restless AEW alumni that decide to roll those dice and I think Starks is at the top of the list.

Jun 25, 2024 · Ricky Starks has a much higher ceiling than Andrade imo. He's charismatic, which Andrade just unfortunately isn't due to the language barrier. I also think Ricky is a much better worker, and doesn't have a history of being extremely childish.

I remember Ricky Starks from the first parts of the NWA relaunch, so I knew of him when he answered Cody's open challenge. I wasn't that fussed that much by him though. I. WAS. WRONG Ricky Starks must one day be AEW World Champion. I will accept nothing less

If you search posts and comments on this sub from before October 2023 you will see AEW fans calling Ricky Starks a great in-ring worker. Christ above, people were saying that he has one of the best Spears in the business today. I wonder where this narrative that Ricky is a bad in-ring worker came from.
