Jan 2, 2017 · I have had GBS 4 times (once in 1948, doctor didn’t know what it was, I was walking funny); (once in 1958 after a virus, had just PT); (once in 1989, after a virus and stressful job situation – 14 months to recover); and (once in 2002, after a virus and stressful time in my life).

Mar 1, 2007 · In 2001 I thought I was having a relapse. I was 20+ years post-GBS. My B vitamin blood levels were in the low end of acceptable. Apparently due to my post-GBS status this was not adequate. I have been taking a B bomplex supplement since then. When it comes to nerve health you can’t take chances. Take the B’s.

Oct 15, 2007 · When I got GBS in 2005 the staff of the hospital told me about him and I knew he had gotten better. That information gave me hope. After arriving home and finding this forum I noticed he was an Honorary Member of the Board. I am glad he got this appearance on The Insider to spread the word about GBS.

Apr 27, 2014 · My father 80 yr old was diagnosed with GBS August 2013 and was recently re-diagnosed with CIDP. Last Monday afternoon he began having a series of seizures lasting about a minute each and was rushed to the ER where he had a couple more before being given Ativan which slowed is pulmonary function to the point that he needed CPR.
