Jul 21, 2022 · I love the sequencing here: Skinny's such an intriguing opener, then the run of Lunch -> Chihiro -> Birds of a Feather is deeply laced with crack cocaine. After that, you get a couple of slightly trippy soft rock moments... But then the album just gets weirder and looser and spacier until the very end. Bille and Finneas really nailed this.

Anyway Finneas' point was that even though the album received glowing reviews from pretty much all major publications, Pitchfork somewhat predictably had to do the opposite.
