
Young Sound - Wikipedia
Young Sound (Danish: Young Sund) is a marine channel with a fjord structure in King Christian X Land, East Greenland. Administratively it is part of the Northeast Greenland National Park zone. The fjord was given the name "Young’s Bay" by William Scoresby in 1822.

Oct 7, 2020 · Several features in Young Sound allow for this fjord to be particularly low productive. First, as it is located so far north, the growing season in Young Sound is very short. Sea ice tends to break up around mid-July (Figure 2) and a short-lived algal bloom follows (Figure 1).
