
Wrist Pincushion - the long thread
Sep 21, 2009 · I’ve had pincushions on the brain after this post, so today I made a handy wrist pincushion. Simple to sew, it’s made from one fabric scrap, some filling and velcro. Easy! The measurements should be correct for an average sized woman’s wrist, but you can measure your own wrist and make necessary adjustments.

Flower Pot Pincushion - the long thread
Aug 24, 2008 · I thought I’d try to make one of the little pincushions in a flower pot that I’ve seen lately. It requires no sewing!
(or glue) in place 1/8" from the edge. Then pin this ear out of the way. Fold the other ear in the same manner and attach it to the opposite side of the head. Step 4: Sew together. Putting this pincushion together is a bit like origami folding. First, fold the bottom right corner up to align it with the top corner over the face and right ear.

Sep 1, 2008 · Step #9: Pin seams of skirt to seams of tee. Pins should be on the inside of the skirt. Then pin around, adjusting the gathers evenly as you pin. folk art - the long thread
Jan 20, 2008 · Fold pillow front background fabric in halves to mark center (or measure), then pin appliqué design to the center of the fabric, with at least one pin in each point of the flower. Felt sticks to itself pretty well, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble with slipping as you sew.
Pin together and sew around all four edges, with a 1/2” seam allowance. Turn right sides out and make sure your pillow fits. If it does, turn inside out once again and sew an overcasting or zig-zag stitch along the edges to prevent fraying. This pattern is for personal use only. Please do not sell items made from this pattern.
2009 – the long thread
Dec 29, 2009 · The kids played Pin the Hat on the Wonka with the sweet picture that my daughter drew. Note the smear of chocolate on the poster board since I took this photo after the party. They also made candy canes from pipe cleaners and guessed how many jelly beans were in a jar.
