One of the city's first radio stations, WHN went on the air in March, 1922, and was sold to the Loew's organization in 1928. The station moved to 1050kc in 1941. Loew's changed the station's call letters to WMGM in 1948, and featured a rock `n roll format from 1958-1962, at which time the station was sold to Storer Broadcasting.
