The Western Electric 717A is a quality tube perfect for your application. It is tested using the Amplitrex AT1000, the RoeTest R9 Professional System, or a freshly calibrated and upgraded TV7-D/U.

The WE-717A is a pentode tube that can also be wired as a triode (like in the Yamamoto A08 tube amplifiers). The glass has heavy chrome flashing and is labeled Tung-Sol WE 717A. It also has a metal base (base may have some oxidation). Tube tests as new and ships in a new white box. This tube is sold individually. Photo is a sample from the lot.

The WE-717A is a doorknob look-alike pentode tube designed by Western Electric, and made in large numbers by several US manufacturers like Raytheon and Tung-Sol during WW2.
