The Studebaker US6 (G630) was a series of 2⁄ -ton 6×6 and 5-ton 6×4 trucks manufactured by the Studebaker Corporation and REO Motor Car Company during World War II. The basic cargo version was designed to transport a 2⁄ -short-ton (5,000 lb; 2,300 kg) cargo load over any type of terrain in any weather.

The U6 is the Farmall M and IHC W6 wheel tractor (also the T6 crawler...) engine set up for stationary use. It's capacity 248 cubic inches, and is rated in the area of 30 - 35 HP depending on govenor setting.

Apr 6, 2018 · I got an opportunity to purchase a U6 power unit for my old circle sawmill. I've got an old M farmall that I've bushogged with for years, I know their the same engine. Can anybody tell me how well this engine would power my mill.

Jun 7, 2012 · If the U6 is like the U264 that replaced it, the hood from a T6 crawler tractor is the same and the grill from either a T6 or TD6 should fit. A U4 uses the same grill as the W4 but the hood is shorter and does not have the gauge bump on top.
