Sep 12, 2023 · Found a fix for this issue. Fix 1. Use opera browser and turn on the VPN service. Fix 2 if using microsoft edge browser. Go to edge://settings/privacy. Scroll down to microsoft secure network and turn it on. Click on manage secure network sites and add www.trenitalia.com. Close browser and reopen then it should work with www.trenitalia.com.

I bought tickets but have never received a confirmation email after more than a month. I have gone on the Trenitalia site and requested an email to be sent but have not gotten one.

Apr 20, 2018 · Trenitalia is the national railroad system operating all classes of trains for 100% of Italy. Italotreno is an attempt at some privatizing of popular routes and limited to the high speed trains. Since most of the Italotreno equipment is a little new it can be a bit nicer.

It is not true Italo has newer trains, as Trenitalia's Frecciarossa1000 are still newer and can also travel a little faster; but on such a trip you won't see any difference. Both offer WIFI, usually after a registration (and Italo is simpler to register only with your ticket number).

The rail cars are bi-direction for high-speed trains, they can be driven both ways and, for instance, all trains calling at Firenze SMN station or Napoli Centrale do invert direction during the trip.

Feb 4, 2020 · Trenitalia is the train operator and the others are outside agents. There's no requirement to book ahead, but the cheaper fares you're seeing now are not sold on the day of travel. Some of these offer limited exchanges but you shouldn't book until your plan is set.

Jan 25, 2024 · Right now you can book tickets for May 8 on both Trenitalia and Italotreno websites. Trenitalia has tickets starting at €12.90 - non changeable, not refundable. Italotreno has tickets starting at €9.90, also non-changeable and non-refundable. Both are on high speed trains that take approximately 1 hour and 36 minutes.
