Jan 9, 2014 · This is indeed a Tula Armory Model 63, or TOZ-63, made some time between 1963 and 1978. It's a XIX century design, implying lots of manual labor, and was the cheapest double gun in the USSR - it was mostly put together by apprentices who were cutting their teeth on the cheapest model before they were assigned more responsible tasks.

Apr 6, 2024 · Hi all, I own TOZ-63 and from looking online it does seem to be very very similar to Colt 1878 coach gun. Hammers and action seem almost identical. Wood shapes are very very similar. The only different thing is the locking mechanism I think? Any ideas or input on this random thought?

Jan 26, 2023 · I have TOZ-63 a side-by-side made in the soviet union, it has been proofed in Birmingham with a ZB mark with swords, indicating (1974), 2 3/4" chambers and 3 1/4 tons per square inch and nitro proofing mark (i.e. modern powder). Using conversion tables provided by an official source that are for 12ga I get around 7251PSI
