Oct 16, 2020 · Even if you have a wiring diagram, you're still going to have to do some splicing of wiring, plus adding a switch. I installed the simple Anytime Backup Camera harness ($46.63 delivered), plus the switch. That seems to be the practical way of doing it.

Jul 29, 2019 · I have a 2009 Tacoma, but I am working on my brother-in-law's 2013 Tacoma 5-speed stick. Anyone have a wiring diagram for the backup camera? I assume 6 volts comes from some type of transmission reverse gear switch or a transformer after the switch.

May 13, 2021 · I ran the wiring along the frame up under the driver's seat grommet then up kick panel, under dash, then to radio. The reverse trigger power wire for the camera can be spliced into the rear tail light reverse red/blue wire.

Sep 23, 2020 · If you ordered a base Tacoma model, chances are you are wired for most aftermarket items. It’s cheaper for Toyota to wire all the extra features in, but not include the module itself. This makes it easy to add things like a backup camera, and mirror turn signals. My Tacoma (2nd gen 2014) thankfully was pre-wired for a backup camera.
