Tkabber is a Free and Open Source client for the Jabber instant messaging system. It's writen in Tcl/Tk, and works on many platforms (tested on Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Solaris, MacOS X and Windows 98/2000/XP). Tkabber-Pack is an "all-in-one" installer for Windows (2000 and up). You don't need anything besides it to run full-blown Tkabber.

Tkabber is a GPL instant messaging client for the XMPP protocol which uses the Tk toolkit for the GUI. It runs on anything to which Tcl/Tk is ported: almost any X-based system (namely, any Linux and *BSD, Solaris, etc.), Microsoft Windows, and Mac OS X.
