Taronga Western Plains Zoo is a finalist in the Major Attraction category, meanwhile Dubbo’s Zoofari Lodge and Sydney’s Wildlife Retreat are both finalists in the Unique Accommodation category. The NSW awards will also be held in February so fingers crossed for Taronga!

Wild Life Sydney is unusual for a zoo or wildlife park in that the public areas are almost entirely enclosed and air-conditioned. The A$52 million development features a 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) walkway which snakes through 7,000 square metres (75,000 sq ft) of enclosures.
