
Swan Lake - The Marius Petipa Society
The first revival of Petipa and Ivanov’s Swan Lake was staged by Alexander Gorsky for the Imperial Bolshoi Ballet in 1901. A famous change made by Gorsky was the addition of a court-jester to the first and second acts, which was later retained in Soviet productions of Swan Lake.
