As long as it still has the headphone jack, notchless display and ideally slightly cheaper than the 1 V (yes the VI should be brighter and has LTPO support) I'll possibly consider it. My last phone was 6.5" FHD, was ok, my current is a 6.7" 1344P Pixel 8 Pro and annoyingly I'm sensitive to it's 120 Hz PWM flickering.

Been lurking in this sub for a while, I recently smashed the screen on my ZenFone 8 so I've been looking for an upgrade. Eventually picked up the Xperia 1 VI for $1750 (AUD) which I thought seemed an ok price. It arrived today and my first impressions have been really good! Blows the ZF8 out of the water.

May 31, 2024 · Yep, that's how I've gone from Xperia 1 to the next gen Xperia 1. But since I'm on Verizon (and because of the changes in product dimensions and the screen), I think I'm going to be sticking with my Xperia 1 V.
Sony Xperia 1 VI. It's great but need a bit more love from Devs.
I'm usually tolerant with bugs, but I have to agree with the OP. This is my first time with a Sony phone, having used Samsung for the past few years. There's some glaring bugs with the Xperia 1 VI that I'm surprised to see come from a big company like Sony, who's been making phones for a long time. I'm not to the point of getting rid of the phone.

I've watched a review stating that the Xperia 1 V has better zoom than the 1 VI. Probably cause the sensor os further from the lens and thus less light are broken through. Variable zoom tech is great but maybe should slap some bigger sensor to compensate for lesser and lesser light coming in after a lengthy journey. Still they turn out great.

Purchase the Xperia 1 V for $1300 AUD from an Australian reseller and have warranty. I believe there is 1 more Android update planned Preorder the Xperia 1 VI for $2100 AUD from Singapore and get the WX1000M5 headphones for free. Only problem is there will be no Australian warranty and I need to get it shipped somehow.

The problem with the Xperia 1 VI is not the screen downgrade or lack of new camera hardware, it’s the PRICING. This phone could sell like hot cakes if Sony charged 800-900 dollars for it. Pre order gift doesn’t count, it’s not easy to sell a pair of headphones and even then still expensive

Anyone get the Sony Xperia 1 VI working on Verizon yet?
Jun 1, 2024 · The Xperia 1 V is compatible on Verizon. Xperia 1 VI was not released in USA though so I was wondering if it is possible to buy an international 1 VI model from UK or Hong Kong and get it running on Verizon.
