Santa fe power meet's the old Bn power! It was cool to see the GP60B in H1 paint yesterday, but now a SD40-2B still in BN paint, pretty awesome! The last Oakway SD60 out in the wild with its original paint. It spent several days in Galesburg before making it final one way trip up to Chicago. An A-B-A set of BN painted power rests in Galesburg.

This B-unit was only used by the BN (the prototype was built from a damaged A-unit). The model was imported in unpainted brass. Originally, these models had wheels gauged to the old NMRA standard for S-scale, so be sure to check them with a NASG wheel gauge.

Number 7500 was built June 1980 in Canada as BN SD40-2 7221 ( c/n A3930 ), rebuilt in July 1981 to SD40-2B 900B, renumbered to 7500. One source indicates the unit was wrecked at Pasco, Washington in early 1981 and rebuilt at West Burlington.
