Actively supporting the arts in Elk Rapids, Michigan, Art Rapids is a non-profit organization founded in 2005 by a group of arts-minded citizens to organize a juried art fair. Since that time, the organization has expanded to include other outreach programs.

With community events, art camps, classes, concerts, and the unique Walk of Art outdoor sculpture exhibit, we're igniting imaginations and making a lasting impact.

In cooperation with Antrim County, Art Rapids has created a Walk of Art outdoor sculpture gallery in the county’s Elk Rapids Day Park on South Bay Shore Drive. In addition to the sculptures, the park is also host to classes and workshops, concerts, and various other activities.

Adding beauty to the shores of Grand Traverse Bay, Art Rapids! works to enhance and promote the arts and arts education in the Elk Rapids area. Art Rapids fulfills its mission thru the following outreach programs: Art Rapids! also combines art and nature at the Walk of Art Sculpture Park in the Elk Rapids Day Park on South Bayshore Drive.

This led to the creation of Art Rapids in 2006, a fine-arts event in which selected artists would show, demonstrate and sell their work by Grand Traverse Bay in the heart of this charming harbor town, whose many galleries already attracted an art-loving clientele the year around.
