The car was revised and re-codenamed as "DBA–R35", replacing the original "CBA–R35". The revised version featured the same engine with altered mapping, changed valve timing, larger inlets and a modified exhaust system which boosts rated power to 390 kW (530 PS; 523 hp) at 6,400 rpm and 607 N⋅m (448 lb⋅ft) of torque from 3,200 to 6,000 rpm.

The twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6 engine still makes 600 horsepower under the hood of NISMO units, while Premium and T-spec models see a tamer yet still potent 565 ponies.

At the rear, bumper sides and a revised rear spoiler help the GT-R add downforce without increasing drag. The 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged engine, built with immense strength, produces up to a prodigious 565 hp and an equally immense 467 lb-ft of torque.
