GEBCO - The General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans
GEBCO produces and makes available a range of bathymetric data sets and products. This includes a global bathymetric grid; gazetteer of undersea feature names, a Web Map Service and printable maps of ocean bathymetry.
Gridded Bathymetry Data - GEBCO
GEBCO’s current gridded bathymetric data set, the GEBCO_2024 Grid, is a global terrain model for ocean and land, providing elevation data, in meters, on a 15 arc-second interval grid. It is accompanied by a Type Identifier (TID) Grid that gives information on the types of source data that the GEBCO_2024 Grid is based on.
Bathymetry matters to ocean circulation not only because its large-scale features block the passage of water, but also because its small -scale features influence the rate at which the ocean mixes.
GEBCO_2020 Grid
The GEBCO_2020 Grid is the latest global bathymetric product released by the General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO) and has been developed through the Nippon Foundation-GEBCO Seabed 2030 Project. This is a collaborative project between the Nippon Foundation of Japan and GEBCO.

GEBCO data download
GEBCO’s global gridded bathymetric data sets are terrain models for ocean and land at 15 arc-second intervals. You can use this tool to download subsets from thee grids and their associated Type Identifier (TID) grid in a selection of widely supported formats.
Gridded bathymetry data for the Arctic Ocean area (IBCAO) - GEBCO
Access gridded bathymetry data for the Arctic Ocean region from the International Bathymetric Chart of the Arctic Ocean (IBCAO), version 5.0
Bathymetry data reproduced from the GEBCO_2014 Grid, www.gebco.net Imagery for land areas is taken from NASA’s Blue Marble Next Generation data set (NASA’s Earth Observatory, http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/BlueMarble/).
Printable Maps - GEBCO
Access printable maps of world ocean bathymetry showing the shape of the global ocean floor and maps for the Arctic and Southern Ocean regions.
30 arc-second grid - GEBCO
This grid has been generated from a data set of bathymetric contours based largely on multi-beam and single beam bathymetric surveys. The grid cell at this location is ‘crossed’ by trackline control information, i.e. survey track or isolated sounding, from the Weddell Sea source data set.
