They are claiming it was made for PTR by SSD based off of receiver engraving. I wasnt aware that PTR made or imported anything that wasnt an HK clone. Looks like a brand new STG-44-its even chambered in 8mm Kurtz.

In general, my PTR-44 runs fine with factory new Hornady 8x33 Kurz ammo. No stove pipes, no FTF. The problem I observed started out with sort of an FTE, caused by shell case separation right below the shoulder.

Jan 14, 2024 · Hopefully, this sheds some light on the matter. Honestly, wait for a BD44 to release, get a kit and a BD44 flat, undergo a reweld, or purchase a PTR-44 or even a transferrable. It simply isn't worth it, lol.
