The Heckler & Koch P7 is a German 9×19mm semi-automatic pistol designed by Helmut Weldle and produced from 1979 to 2008 by Heckler & Koch GmbH (H&K). [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The P7M13, a variant of the P7 with a double-stack magazine , was produced until 2000.

Apr 17, 2022 · Doubly so for the P7 (and the new Walther CCP), as bare lead ammunition will occlude the gas port. Polygonal rifling creates a better gas seal. Less combustion gasses escaping around the projectile mean higher velocities for a given barrel length. In the case of the P7, it also means a more effective gas retarded blowback system.

Aug 4, 2008 · The P7 with its fixed cold hammer forged polygonal barrel was the most accurate pistol in the test. It also had the least felt recoil. The weight of the pistol certainly helped dampen the recoil, but so did its gas system (which needs to be cleaned every 500 rounds or 12 months).

Sep 5, 2017 · The P7 series spawned variants. The P7M8 is a 9mm single-stack with 8+1 capacity, and the P7M13 comes with a 13+1 round capacity. Others included a P7M10 in .40 S&W and a few others. The P7M8 and P7M13 need to be on every pistol shooter’s bucket list. If a pal has one, ask to shoot it. It will be a lot less expensive than purchasing one.

Oct 1, 2016 · Aftermarket availability options for the P7 are extremely limited because they are expensive compared to the average 9mm pistol pricing. But I can still find holsters and magazines for the P7. H&K sells the 8 round magazines for $65 while Gunbroker sells them for close to $100 each—in this case, go with H&K’s direct site.
