Apr 12, 2014 · It is not Heros severus, the mouthbrooding sev. It is very likely an Orange Shouldered Severum. The amount of orange can range from pretty much "zero" to a substantial amount. All of mine have a very blueish head color. I have a couple of Orange Shoulders that look just like your pic, and then I have very colorful strains as well.

Oct 4, 2012 · There was some aggression, so I put in a divider for the smaller severum could heal up. Yesterday, I picked up a 2.5-3" severum labeled Orange shoulder, and put him in with the smaller red cheek. I woke up this morning to the Orange shoulder pretty beat up, and moved him to a 20 gallon hospital tank.

None have facial markings yet, they are about 1" Just sold my Flowerhorn so thye got loads of space...

Jul 2, 2008 · Rotkeil when tank bred will have an orange neck due to it being a long way away from F0 or F1. Some tank bred will of course be nice and red as it all depends on genetics and how strong they are. As for the reg green looking with different colour fins, you can usually tell by 2 1/2" to 3" that it is a rotkeil.
