Oct 9, 2024 · Welcome to the Nickerson Family Association of Chatham, Mass. We were founded in June 1897 and celebrated our 125th year in 2022. As caretakers of the Nickerson family name and properties, it’s our duty to preserve and share the history of the Nickersons in equal measure.

William Emery Nickerson founded the Nickerson Family Association in 1897 and was assisted in his early genealogical work by Anna Kingsbury and others who corresponded with many, many Nickerson relations between 1897 and Nickerson’s death in 1930.

THE NICKERSON FAMILY ASSOCIATION is one of the largest family associations in the world. Its focus is on the research of the descendants of William 1 Nickerson (1604 – 1689), the founder of Chatham, Massachusetts.

Nickerson Family Association members may receive a one-time search of Nickerson roots; non-members pay an hourly charge for genealogy research.

May 6, 2014 · The intermixing of Mayflower and Nickerson heritages is well-illustrated by the Sears Nickerson family. The NFA owns a model of the Mayflower made by Nickerson’s late son-in-law George Pearson Marble (1922-2008).
