The Nahuas (/ ˈ n ɑː w ɑː z / NAH-wahz [1]) are a Uto-Nahuan ethnicity and one of the indigenous people of Mexico, with Nahua minorities also in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica.
