Jun 4, 2021 · My understanding is that there are two types of flying creatures. Those that land, and those that endlessly circle. You can only tame the ones that land. That's why you need to upgrade your jetpack with full range of six S-class upgrades, fuel replenisher and rocket boots. Flying mounts are supposed to give a little challenge when catching them.

Cycromys is a genus of fauna in No Man's Sky. Although the game code refers to them as "flying lizards" (similar to Oxyacta, the "flying snakes"), players more often call them "dragons" or "large birds."
