The Women’s Resource Center is housed in Miller House and provides a unique location for students to study, use the library’s resources, and spend time together. Miller House was built in 1911. William Smith, the founder of the College, laid the cornerstone of this building.

Feb 7, 2023 · Members of the HWS community celebrated the reopening of the Women’s Resource Center in Miller House during a recent reception. Students living on the William Smith Hill can now access the center as a study or social space with their OneCard and the improved space can be used to host classes and serve as a meeting place for organizations.

In this design Miller House is located where Comstock House is now, and would have been connected to Blackwell House, the first William Smith College dormitory.

Miller House, constructed in 1911, has been used continually as a William Smith College student residence. Named for suffragist Elizabeth Smith Miller, it now houses forty-two students.

Hobart and William Smith Colleges are a student-centered learning environment, globally focused, grounded in the values of equity and service, developing citizens who will lead in the 21st century.

Miller House is home to 42 William Smith students. Miller House has single, double, and trip style bedrooms. All of the rooms are equipped with cable and computer/Internet access. The house has a kitchen, a bathroom on each floor, and laundry facilities.
