In 2017, Stafford is solidly in the 6th-to-10th best QB range. Really, he's been right around there his whole year. In 2013, he's a little worse than that, but still good; probably somewhere in the 8th-to-15th best range, an above-average starter. Matt Stafford is good! Maybe even great.

Sep 8, 2022 · It's pretty clear to me Stafford was dealing with this issue most if not all of last season. Probably explains his high number of underthrown deep-balls last year. It's an open question how well the elbow will hold up throughout the course of the season, but he'll probably be fine for at least the first several games this year.
