Jan 8, 2011 · If you're talking about a Thumper-ish carbine an American can own without too many Imperial entanglements the MPA might be close but, apparently being based on the MAC-10, unless it's made of aluminum it's going to be bloody heavy. The MAC-10 was a clumsy piece of pig iron even before thinking of adding the MPA's 16 inch barrel and M4 stock.

Feb 26, 2012 · Personally, I think the idea / theory of "Thumper" is a good one. The military will never go for it, but that doesn't mean much. The 45 win mag in a converted M1 carbine was cool, if the receiver would have taken the pressure. We can go a step further, with something in the 475 Linebaugh range.
